A 17 year old dreamer traveled alone from Guatemala to Los Angeles on a promise of help from a family member which proved untenable. She was left on her own struggling with food and housing insecurity. She received financial assistance from the non-profit Following Francis and graduated from high school with all A’s and B’s. She won a tuition scholarship to local university - but needed assistance with room, board and basic living needs. Los Angeles Unified School District counselors brought this smart, poised, beautiful and ambitious woman to my attention and we hope to continue to support her throughout her 4 years of college and give her security to follow her dreams.

Currently Annie provides educational support in Anguilla to both the Arijah Foundation and Blanchards Anguilla Children’s Fund. We are helping children with special needs and those who in the past have needed help during Covid and in the aftermath of hurricanes .

Mothers Helping Mothers
There is a distinct and perilous position facing single mothers as they try to work, care for children, and provide housing for their families-often while they themselves are recovering from trauma. Providing stabilization through rent assistance, daycare assistance and grocery support can make the difference between homelessness and a new life for single mothers and their children. Many people supporting this program have themselves been single mothers, or the children of single mothers. We provide a direct link to help women in the US and their families toward a more stable life. ​

Helping Refugee Families Resettle in the USA
No one could watch the violent and dramatic scenes of Afghan soldiers who had served the US Army and their families escaping the Taliban in Kabul and not wondered, “What could I do to help?” Through friends in the US, we are providing rental assistance and career counseling to a young soldier, his wife, and three small children.

Homes for Those Who Help Others
Anyone who’s met Delano Johnson knows that he is a mountain of positive energy and selfless service. As Executive Director of Bay Area All-N-One Delano has directly impacted the lives of thousands of residents by distributing thousands of items of food and clothing at his weekly events. Can you can imagine how surprised we were to learn that this selfless, loving man had, for almost a year himself been homeless? This campaign will provide Delano a roof over his head, a bed to sleep in and peace of mind that he is safe. An angel donor has committed to matching up to $10,000 so Delano can stay healthy and continue his amazing work. If you are a friend or are moved by his story, please donate.
